In the first of a series on the book of Zechariah, Tom Stapleton covers some of the many first coming prophecies that foretold the arrival of Yeshua, Our Messiah. As with other prophets, God gave Zechariah the end from his beginning, which was just after the end of the Babylonian captivity and the rebuilding of Jerusalem and the temple. In part 2 of the Zechariah study, Tom looks at the “missing link”. Chapters 1 – 13 are full of first coming prophecies, which were the next major prophetic event that was due to happen post-Babylonian captivity. What Zechariah didn’t see, however, was that there would be a Second Coming of the Messiah. Instead, after the first coming prophecies, Zechariah was shown the end — the final promises (that we now know from Revelation and elsewhere) of an Eternal Kingdom that begins at the end of the millennium, after the final white throne judgment of Revelation 20.
