The Time of Great Tribulation

The end-time flight to Bozrah is being eagerly anticipated by some Messianic groups but don’t pack your bags for Bozrah just yet.

If the Great Tribulation escalates on the Earth and all of a sudden you are told it is time to pack your bag and get over to Bozrah, will you go? The Bozrah deliverance teaching in a nutshell is saying that believers will be gathered together and sheltered in the Bozrah sheepfold located in Jordan, about 75 miles south of Damascus. There they will remain until the battle of Armageddon is over, then Yeshua will come and lead His people triumphantly into Jerusalem.

Bozrah in the time of Jacob and Esau was known as the land of Edom where Mount Seir is located. This is where Esau moved to after leaving his father’s home. The area today is desolate wilderness in the mountain district east of the Dead Sea (High Plains).

Bozrah as symbolic of the world’s rebellion and rejection of Yah’s salvation

Gen. 33:16 Esau returns to Seir.

Gen. 36:8 Esau dwelt in mount Seir

Deut. 2:4-5 Elohim gives Mount Seir to Esau and his descendants and tells Israel to leave it alone, not to mess with the Edomites.

Why? Mal. 1:2-4: YHWH has a controversy with Esau and his descendants.

Obadiah, Amos 1:9-12 and Micah 2 & 3 speak of Esau’s utter destruction, thus the destruction of Bozrah.

Isaiah 34 is a prophecy of the end of the world with Bozrah mentioned in verse 6. Bozrah is symbolic of rebellion–Esau’s rebellion and rejection of his birthright. Also, it is symbolic of the world’s rebellion and rejection of Yah’s salvation.

In Isaiah 63 we see Yeshua Messiah coming from Bozrah, His garments dyed red with blood from His destruction of the wicked. This chapter is a direct parallel of Revelation 19:11-16. “And He was clothed with a vesture, dipped in blood; and His Name is called The Word of Elohim.” verse 13.

“Believe it not”

Yeshua says in Matthew 24:26-31 “Wherefore if they shall say to you, ‘Behold He is in the desert, go not forth; behold He is in the secret chambers; believe it not.’   And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”

Should I be preparing for the Bozrah deliverance? Not by the texts we have just looked at.
